Why do most apps add a watermark?
Generating captions with AI on a server costs money for every minute of video. Apps recover it in two ways: a subscription or their logo on free videos, which also advertises them. Removing it is usually the first thing a paid plan unlocks.
Here speech recognition runs on your own device, so we don't pay for servers per video. The site is funded by ads on the page, not on your videos.
How to download your video with no mark at all
- Add your video above. It is transcribed automatically.
- Untick “Made with Herramientas Libres” in the export options. It's a small, optional credit: leave it to help us grow, remove it if you prefer.
- Download the MP4. It will only contain your captions.
Beware of “watermark removers”
Removing a watermark from an exported video (cropping, blurring or covering it) degrades the image and may break the terms of the app that added it. It's better to start from a clean file: export from your editor without captions and add them here at the end.
Other ways to get captions without a watermark
- The platform's own captions: TikTok, Instagram and YouTube can generate automatic captions without a watermark, but only in their basic style and only for viewers who turn them on.
- SRT file: if your editor can import subtitles, download the SRT here and use it there.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on videos or length?
We don't set one. With very long videos the real limit is your device's memory and power.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes. The video and the captions are yours; we claim no rights over them.
